BREA Forms New Partnership with Ministry of Environment and Housing

Chandra Parker, Director of the Bahamas Real Estate Association, Chairman of the Bahamas MLS Committee and Broker at Mario Carey Realty was a part of announcing the newly formed partnership between the Bahamas Real Estate Association (BREA) and the Ministry of Environment and Housing. The primary focus is to create better options in affordable housing for Bahamians. Parker mentioned that, “We need to look outside the box of Government Subdivisions and my initial thoughts are centered around New Urbanism and all I learned from Orjan Lindroth, developer of Schooner Bay in Abaco. It’s fascinating how the right planning and architecture can create neighborhoods that are both appealing and affordable. Get it right and you have a thriving community where property values increase rapidly, improving the lives of the families that live there.”
